Hi! I’m Julie Scirpo, owner of Mindful Breath Yoga & Reiki.
As a mom of two high schoolers and an elementary school teacher of 20 years, I have tons of experience riding the waves of stress! Yoga and reiki are the best tools I have found that give physical and emotional relief from daily stressors.
I have been practicing yoga and mindfulness regularly for almost a decade! I am a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher and also hold numerous certifications to teach yoga and mindfulness to children of all ages.
About 5 years ago, I found reiki and it has changed my life. So much so that I became a Certified Reiki Master! The impact of healing energy has made a profound impact on my internal peace and how I approach my life. As an elementary teacher, mom, householder, daughter, sister, friend, community member,……it has helped put a different lens on how I perceive stressors and recognize the power of my own energy and connection.
I am also passionate about the importance of breathwork and make it an integral part of our yoga and reiki practices. In fact, when deciding on a business name, the only thing I knew was that breathing (and the symbol for breath which has become very special to me) would somehow be incorporated. Intentional breathwork has amazing benefits on the body and mind. It can increase focus, decrease stress and even improve immune function, just to name a few things.
I believe in my heart and soul that if more people practiced yoga and mindfulness and received reiki often, that the world would become a much healthier, more peaceful place for us all. I am humbled and blessed to be able to be a part of your journey to heal and live your best life!
